🧗‍♂️ Cub Scouts Conquered the Climbing Walls! 🧗‍♀️

 

On December 13, 2025, at 9:30 a.m., our Cub Scouts had an awesome adventure at Triangle Rock Club Durham! With 5 Cub Scouts and 4 adults, the gym was full of energy, excitement, and big smiles.

For more than two whole hours, the Scouts climbed all over the gym. They top-roped, tried the auto-belay walls, and even bouldered like pros! The tall 20-foot walls, 5 autobelays, and 20 belay stations in the Base Camp room gave everyone plenty of chances to climb and explore new routes.

Scouts wore athletic clothes and sturdy shoes, and some even rented climbing harnesses. Our adult chaperones stayed close, signed the orientation forms, and cheered the kids on every step of the way.

The Scouts showed bravery, teamwork, and determination as they climbed higher and higher. It was a fun, active morning full of challenges and victories—and everyone left feeling proud and strong!

We’re already looking forward to our next climbing adventure! 🧗‍♂️⭐

2023 Trip to USS Yorktown - Operation Overnight

Pack 825 was thrilled to return to the historic USS  Yorktown , located in Charleston, SC for the first time since 2019 for Operation Overnight. During our two-night stay, we slept on board the aircraft carrier in traditional Navy berthing compartments and ate meals in the ship's galley. We learned what life was like for Navy sailors and saw some of our military's most notable airplanes and ships up close. The USS Yorktown is a floating museum that includes a flight simulator, a hanger deck, movie theater, and so much more.  It was an amazing opportunity and an awesome adventure!
