Flying Discs and Big Smiles at Leigh Farm Park!

What a day! On August 9, 2025, Cub Scouts took over the disc golf course at Leigh Farm Park! Parents joined in too, cheering, tossing, and laughing right alongside the Scouts.

Disc golf is like golf’s cooler cousin—no clubs, just frisbee-like discs! We aimed for metal baskets with hanging chains, weaving between tall trees and grassy fairways. Every throw was a mix of skill, luck, and giggles. Sometimes the discs flew straight… other times, well, let’s just say the squirrels were impressed.
The last 23 photos in our album capture it all—power throws, victory smile, tricky tree shots, concentration face, and parents doing their best. We even had moments of teamwork, high-fives, and “How did that tree get there?"

Not only did we have fun, but Scouts also worked toward rank advancements like “Team Tiger,” “Stronger, Faster, Higher,” and “Summertime Fun.” We practiced some stretching and exercise routines, enjoyed the great outdoors, and proved that disc golf is a perfect Scout adventure.

From first-time throwers to sharpshooters, everyone left with a smile—and maybe a few extra leaves stuck to their shoes. Can’t wait for our next outdoor challenge!
