VA Creeper Deadline is TOMORROW

We still have space available for our Virginia Creeper bike ride and campout for next weekend. If you haven't been before, this is a beautiful ALL DOWNHILL bike ride through the mountains on a (mostly) paved trail. We will be camping in a National Park on Friday night, taking a shuttle to the top of a mountain on Saturday morning, and spend the day passing through small towns, crossing over creeks, and watching the leaves change for Fall. Saturday night we'll be back at our campground where the Scouts will learn camping skills such as fire building, cooking over a campfire, and having fun!

Please note that all attendees need to purchase a shuttle ticket to go on the trail. The $45 fee includes camping, food, supplies, and shuttle to the top of the mountain. You can rent a bike for an extra $10, or bring your own. Choices of bike rental include adult, child, or tagalong (this is a half bike that attaches to an adult bike for children who may not be able to navigate the trip alone - see image). Please specify on your signup which bike(s) you'd like to rent. If you've already signed up and wish to change your choices, please email Talisha.

2023 Trip to USS Yorktown - Operation Overnight

Pack 825 was thrilled to return to the historic USS  Yorktown , located in Charleston, SC for the first time since 2019 for Operation Overnight. During our two-night stay, we slept on board the aircraft carrier in traditional Navy berthing compartments and ate meals in the ship's galley. We learned what life was like for Navy sailors and saw some of our military's most notable airplanes and ships up close. The USS Yorktown is a floating museum that includes a flight simulator, a hanger deck, movie theater, and so much more.  It was an amazing opportunity and an awesome adventure!
