BugFest at NC Museum of Natural Sciences

This FREE event is on Saturday Sep. 20, 2014, from 9am to 7pm at the Museum of Natural Sciences in downtown Raleigh.

Each year over 35,000 visitors come to BugFest to experience over 100 exhibits, crafts, games and activities.  Interact with entomologists and other scientists and  learn about the fascinating world of bugs. BugFest also features Café Insecta, where the brave can sample buggy dishes prepared by local chefs.  For more information -- http://www.bugfest.org/

2023 Trip to USS Yorktown - Operation Overnight

Pack 825 was thrilled to return to the historic USS  Yorktown , located in Charleston, SC for the first time since 2019 for Operation Overnight. During our two-night stay, we slept on board the aircraft carrier in traditional Navy berthing compartments and ate meals in the ship's galley. We learned what life was like for Navy sailors and saw some of our military's most notable airplanes and ships up close. The USS Yorktown is a floating museum that includes a flight simulator, a hanger deck, movie theater, and so much more.  It was an amazing opportunity and an awesome adventure!
