2023 Pinewood Derby

Pack 825 held our 2023 Pinewood Derby today at Amity United Methodist Church. Cub Scouts began with an official Pinewood Derby Race Car kit, created a design, carved the wooden block, and detailed it with paint, decals and other accessories. The Pinewood Derby is a wonderful learning experience for Cub Scouts to build their own custom race car! This year the competition categories were:

• Speed
• Originality
• Beauty
• Scout's Choice

Trophies were awarded for 1st place in Scout's Choice; and 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in all other categories.

Thanks to all the scouts and families who participated and to the Pack 825 leadership and volunteers who helped put on this great race. 

Congratulations to all of the qualifiers from Pack 825's Pinewood Derby who will go on to compete at the Eno River District Pinewood Derby on February 24th. Best of luck!
