Dear Interested Pack 820 Families,

We are very excited for the Welcome Campfire on Thursday 9/5/24. It starts at 7:00 PM at St. Thomas More School (920 Carmichael St, Chapel Hill, NC 27514). This event is a fun kickoff to the Scouting year and a recruiting event, so please invite your friends, neighbors, new classmates, and bring K-5 siblings!

We will have a campfire, roasting marshmallows, s'mores, hot dogs, games, uniform exchange, Pack 820 t-shirts, and popcorn info and prizes

Scouting is a fun, social, inclusive, outdoor, affordable, character-building program that goes well with other childhood activities, and we have a great Pack!

Here is our calendar of activities for the year so you can see how much fun your child can have! These are just the K-5 events, each grade level has separate activities as well!

Cub Scout Pack 820 - Welcome to Scouting Campfire

We are very excited for our Welcome Campfire on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at 7:00 PM at St. Thomas More School (920 Carmichael St, Chapel Hill, NC 27514). 

This event is a fun kickoff to the Scouting year and a recruiting event, so please invite your friends, neighbors, new classmates, and bring K-5 siblings! If your school has an event that night, we hope you can drop by before or after.

We will have a campfire, roasting marshmallows, s'mores, hot dogs, games, uniform exchange, Pack 820 t-shirts, and popcorn info and prizes.

Pack Graduation

Pack 825 celebrated the end of a great Scouting year with our Pack Graduation Ceremony a few weeks ago at Southern Community Park. Congratulations to all of our Cub Scouts on their advancements and thank you to our Pack Leadership and volunteers for a great year!

2023 Trip to USS Yorktown - Operation Overnight

Pack 825 was thrilled to return to the historic USS Yorktown, located in Charleston, SC for the first time since 2019 for Operation Overnight. During our two-night stay, we slept on board the aircraft carrier in traditional Navy berthing compartments and ate meals in the ship's galley. We learned what life was like for Navy sailors and saw some of our military's most notable airplanes and ships up close. The USS Yorktown is a floating museum that includes a flight simulator, a hanger deck, movie theater, and so much more. It was an amazing opportunity and an awesome adventure!
