Don't forget the Shakori District's Ice Skating event tonight , sponsored by Pack 438. This will be held at the Orange County Sportsplex (101 Meadowlands Dr, Hillsborough, NC 27278) on Tuesday, August 12th from 5:45pm to 7:15pm .  Cost is $6.50 for adults, $5.50 for children 12 and under (this includes free skate rental).  This is a great opportunity for your Scout to work on his Ice Skating Belt Loop .  Please wear your Pack B tee shirts so Scouts will recognize each other, as this is also public skate time. If you are thinking to introduce a friend to the world of Scouting , this would be a great time to bring him along!

If you're planning to go to the Labor Day campout at Myrtle Beach State Park , the deadline is tomorrow.  Since this is not an "official" BSA event, non-Scout families are welcome to attend .  So if you have friends or neighbors who love to camp, or maybe a family that is thinking about joining Scouts , feel free to invite them!  I need to turn in our final headcount by Monday, so please get your registration in by tomorrow .  If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at talishacabral@mac.com .      --- Talisha
